Purpose
THE SALY BENNETT BIG BAND HALL OF
FAME MUSEUM, the first in the United States, was originated and founded by Founder Mrs. Paul H. (Sally) Bennett and executed by Trustees.
Purpose is to commemorate the famous Big Band Musicians, Vocalists, Composers, and the Big Band Radio Hosts and their All-American Prestige Popular Music. All Awardees will be honored annually by being induced into the Hall of Fame.
The Museum, located at Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds, will be working to encourage student Big Bands and to teach "theory". Also to continue to promote and feature Big Band music on radio and television stations throughout the the United States. The Museum will be used educationally through lectures, concerts, etc. Special displays of Big Band memorabilia are featured. The Sally Bennett Big Band Hall of Fame Museum is an integral commemorative part of the American Music Culture.
GREG SHERLOCK is humbled and pleased to have his picture ( same one you can see in the THE MUSIC FOR ALL NETWORK page of this web-site) displayed in Museum and becoming an Honorary Life-Time Member.
Greg Sherlock also had the honor to be presented with his award by the late Sally Bennett herself. Since then Greg had put a greater emphasis to give another momentum to Big Band Music delivery through the Internet, so young and old and Worldwide people can enjoy the memories the Famed Bands and Vocalists along with the favorite music.
